Students to become Self- Confident and Innovative- Minister Pawayya
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, The Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel has said that students should come forward to give important contribution in building New India. She mentioned that Universities must increase participation for students’ development through strong medium like NSS.
The Governor Smt. Patel was addressing the 23rd Convocation ceremony of Vikram University at Ujjain today. She presented degrees to students and gold medals to the students, who have secured first positions in merit of various faculties.
The Governor Smt. Patel has mentioned that women are achieving new heights every day in the field of education. She further said that Upnishad has information in detail in Diskshant Updesh to speak truth, to follow religions etc.
Smt. Patel stated that universities should adopt villages and send students to these places. She further mentioned that children of rural areas should not be deprived of education. Such an atmosphere should be created in the villages, so that every student must enroll themselves in college.
The Minister for Higher Education Jaibhan Singh Pawayya appreciated students, who came to receive degrees in the convocation ceremony wearing Marwari Turban and Indian attire.
Pawayya further stated that education will become meaningful only when students, who have been conferred with degrees contribute in building society while enhancing their education at the same time.
He said that students should become self-confident and innovative. Moreover, Pawayya mentioned that universities must take notice that how much respect students earn in the country after obtaining education from the universities. Hard work is needed to gain academic reputation.
The Vice Chancellor Dr. S.S. Pandey informed about the academic and research activities of the university in his welcome speech at the convocation ceremony.
Ensure children must be disease free
The Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel reviewed T.B. Free campaign being conducted in district at the circuit house of Ujjain today. She also held discussions with the representatives of non-government organizations, which are involved in activities to make the T.B. Free district.
She mentioned that organizations, which have adopted children, must ensure that children should be treated well and they should be made disease free.
Amount given to children should be spent for nutritious food and fruits only. Families should be made to understand in this connection.
Collector Manish Singh, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Raju Nidariya, District T.B. Officer Dr. Sunita Parmar and other Officers were present in the meeting.
