SUNDARGARH : A bunch of snakelets and eggs were recovered from the premises of a house at Kainsara village in Subdega block of the district on Sunday. Sources said Binod Toppo (35) of the village on Sunday saw three skins of cobra snakes lying within his compound, also used for  cultivation. Fearing the presence of poisonous snakes, he sought help of a traditional snake-charmer, who broke open an earth mound of termite to recover 54 cobra snakelets and 60 snake eggs. 

The snake-charmer said the baby reptiles and eggs would be released in the forest.
A senior forest official said snake hatchlings come out of eggs and it is common during rainy season, adding that they should not be disturbed.
