Edu Dept conducts baseline test to assess students’ efficiency

In order to ensure quality in education, the School Education Department began the baseline test in the government schools on June 25, which continued till June 30. Students’ efficiency was assessed at primary and middle schools through baseline test.

The baseline test of 54 lakh children, who are pursuing studies in about 1.11 lakh primary and middle schools of the state was conducted. Students were classified into group on the basis of their learning level at schools through baseline test.

In the second stage, data entry of baseline test will be carried out to assess the status of basic efficiencies at district and state level.

Cooperation of shala mitra, head master at departmental level and staff of the Central school in the form of third party monitoring was sought to maintain transparency and reliability of baseline test.

Work of the baseline test of remaining children, who could not attend the test, will be conducted till July 10.

Efforts will be made to enhance efficiency of children at the academic level after the analysis of the baseline test. Special classes for Hindi language and Math will be conducted under the process. Videography was also conducted during the baseline test procedure in the current year. Link teachers have been informed on their mobile. YouTube was also used during the baseline test.

The State Education Centre has issued instructions to District Education Officers and District Coordinators for assessment and analysis of the baseline test.
