Facelifted Mercedes GLC Coupe Spied With New Headlights

It’s a crossover coupe kind of day as the facelifted Mercedes GLC Coupe has been spotted just hours as spy photographers snapped the first photos of the 2020 GLE Coupe.

Caught wearing minimal camouflage, the changes to the GLC Coupe appear relatively minor and primarily focused around the front fascia. The most notable change is the addition of new headlights which feature LED daytime running lights which nearly encircle the entire outsides edges of the lamps.

Besides the updated lighting units, the crossover has been equipped with a modestly revised grille and a new front bumper. The latter is hidden behind camouflage but it will likely features an evolutionary design.

The styling changes are less noticeable out back but it appears the GLC Coupe will receive updated taillights which have relocated reverse lights that are now positioned underneath the brake lights. A closer inspection also reveals a new lower bumper and more squared off exhaust tips.

Like the facelifted GLC, the GLC Coupe is expected to receive an updated interior with a larger infotainment system and a new touchpad controller. Additional changes will be limited but the crossover should also have a new steering wheel.

There’s no word on performance updates, but it wouldn’t be surprising if the model was equipped with a handful of engines sourced from the facelifted C-Class. If this happens, North American consumers can expect a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 255 hp (190 kW / 258 PS) and 273 lb-ft (369 Nm) of torque. This would be a minor improvement over the current engine which develops 241 hp (180 kW / 244 PS) and 273 lb-ft (369 Nm) of torque.
