DSBM holds meet on women’s empowerment

The DAV School of Business Management and the DAV Public School, Unit-8, Bhubaneswar held a workshop on the topic “GST: Women Empowerment through Skill Building” in coordination with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Bhubaneswar (EIRC) in order to promote the skill development specifically in girl students.

The workshop was attended by EIRC chairman Chiranjeebi Jena to commemorate the completion of one year GST implementation in India.

ICAI secretary Sidharth Ranjan addressed the gathering with an anecdote highlighting the implication of GST. Former ICAI chairman Rashmi Ranjan Mishra congratulated the students for their interest in joining the workshop and knowing the importance of the chartered profession towards nation building.

CA CMA CS Swati Kejriwal addressed the first session of the workshop and introduced the concepts of GST to the +2 and +3 students.

DSBM Principal Dr DN Mishra delivered the welcome address and laid importance on the skill building of the students through integrated skill development programmes and application of subjects in teaching pedagogy. He told the ICAI to associate with the DSBM as a knowledge partner.

The workshop was coordinated by Samiran Kumar Mishra, Faculty Commerce.
