A teenage Austrian exchange student was given a proper Welsh welcome by 100 young farmers from across Clwyd.
In an effort to improve her English, Katerina Lehner, 18, swapped her family’s 50-acre fruit farm for a 400-acre dairy unit in Flintshire.
She was hosted by Cilcain YFC members Mark, Daniel and Louise Evans of April Rise farm, Flint .
They decided to introduce her to the county’s young farmers by hosting a BBQ and farm walk.

Mum Rachel said: “It was a fantastic sunny night and everyone enjoyed themselves
“We would like to thank the NFU Wrexham and Flintshire branches for giving a donation towards the event.”
Clwyd organiser Eleri Roberts and county president Erina Roberts were delighted with the turn-out, which saw YFC members converge on April Rise from across the county.
