FALL RIVER — A mandatory water conservation order has been lifted as of Monday morning, according to Community Utilities Administrator Terrance Sullivan.

The emergency restriction was put in place on June 25 after two pumps, one being the largest, broke down almost simultaneously.

A short term pump system was put in place over the weekend as repairs to the permanent pumps are being repaired.

The ban was supposed to last for weeks.

During the water conservation order, Sullivan reported that over one million gallons of water per day were saved over the course of last week.
