Volkswagen's popular duo, the Polo Vivo and Polo, took top honours as the top-selling passenger cars in June 2018.
During June 2018, the Vivo attracted the attention of 2285 new owners, whereas the bigger Polo managed to 1844 units.
Toyota - more cars in the top 10 than any other
The Corolla/Auris/Quest leads Toyota’s sales charge in South Africa with a strong performance of 1226 units in third place, ahead of the ultra-popular Toyota Fortuner (1190 units).
The Toyota Etios moves into sixth place on 977 while the Yaris goes ninth with 885 units.
The best of the rest
The budget-beating Renault Kwid astounded again with 1023 units sold last month to go fifth, while its sibling, the Sandero, exceeded the 900-mark on 937 units in seventh place.
Hyundai’s Grandi10 (8th) sold four fewer units than the Sandero on 933. The cutesy Kia Picanto rounds out the top ten on 764 units.
