MANGALURU: The richest Muzarai temple in the state, Kukke Shree Subrahmanya Temple in Dakshina Kannada
district, will now perform Ashlesha Bali in the evening as well from July 5. Due to heavy rush for this ritual every day, temple officials have decided extend service to evening as well.
Earlier, Ashlesha Bali, performed by people suffering from the malefic effects of kala sarpa dosha was held between 7am to 10am. With numbers of requests for this service is growing year by year and day by day, it was difficult to manage. “On normal days, we receive around 2,500 receipts for the seva and during peak season it increases to 6,500. So temple management has decided to extend it to evening as well so the rush is avoided. Earlier, if a person who booked puja showed up late, had to wait for one more day. The new arrangement will avoid this as well accommodate more people,” said a temple official speaking to TOI.
The issue of puja receipts for evening Ashlesha Bali will be held given between 12.30pm to 4.30pm.
