THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP national president Amit Shah would reach the state for a one-day visit on Tuesday, which is expected mark the end of the bumpy deliberations the central leadership has been holding towards the selection of a new face to the post of party state president.
The master political strategist's plans for carving out a niche political space for his party in Kerala did not yield any positive results so far.

It was at the height of the factional feud in the BJP state unit that the central leadership took a surprise move and anointed Hindu Aikyavedi leader Kummanam Rajasekharan as the party state president.

However, the infight did not wither away as expected. Instead, the fight attained ugly proportions and even scheming, inviting allegations of corruption involving leading faces in the party.

The Facebook wall of Shah was even flooded with the appeals and complaints of BJP/RSS workers and sympathisors against the unrelenting group wars perpetrated by the state leaders.

Shah would reach Thiruvananthapuram by 11am Tuesday and would address a string of meetings, including the party core committee meeting at RDR Hall here from 12 noon to 6pm.

He would review the performance of party office-bearers and would chart out plans for building up public campaigns on the performance of Narendra Modi government.
