Police arrest two drug paddlers in Mohali

The Mohali police claimed to have arrested two persons and recovered 20 grams of heroin from their possession on Sunday .
The accused have been identified as Rajinder Singh alias Kala, a resident of Suthgarh and Harmandeep Singh from Landran in Mohali.

According to SHO Manjit Singh, the police force from Suhana police station had set up a check post on the airport road when they saw a Ford Figo car coming from Zirakpur side . The police signaled them to stop the car but on watching the police post, the car driver suddenly tried to escape.

The police party immediately surrounded the vehicle and managed to stop the accused from fleeing. On searching them, police said, pouches of heroine weighing 20 grams in total were recovered.

During the preliminary interrogations they revealed that they had got heroine from Ambala. Both the accused were produced in the court which remanded them to 2 days police custody said the police.
