HYDERABAD: Asking his party cadres to get ready for early polls, IT Minister KT Rama said, “All the TRS leaders should be alert as election atmosphere has been created in the state.”

Ridiculing the ongoing Bus Yatra being organised by BJP leaders, KTR wanted to know how the five MLAs of the saffron party, who had failed to make their party win at least one division in their respective Assembly segments during the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls, could win the general polls and make their party come to power in Telangana.

Continuing his tirade against the Congress, KTR rejected the claim of the grand-old party leaders that statehood to Telangana was given only because of the iron will of the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. “Statehood to Telangana was not given by Sonia or somebody else. Out of compulsion, Congress delivered Telangana as TRS had built a massive movement,” he said, after inducting some of the Arya Vysya community leaders into his party at Telangana Bhavan here.

The IT Minister said the government would complete all projects including Mission Bhagiratha aimed at providing piped drinking water to each household before the deadline. “Hence, Congress leaders have to sit at their homes even after the next Assembly polls, as people will make the TRS win the elections with thumping majority. No doubt, TRS will be in power in the state for another 15 years,” he said.
