MUMBAI: Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) has decided to boycott a Marathi news channel of the Zee group after the channel aired a news story inconvenient to the party bosses. "All the party office bearers are being conveyed that from now onwards they should not communicate in any way with any of the representatives of the news channel 'Zee24Tass'.  None of their representatives should be invited to any of the press conferences, meetings or rallies of the party, press notes should not be sent to them and none of the spokespersons should participate in the debate on that channel," a letter sent out from the party headquarters has said.

The channel has aired a news regarding a meeting of party seniors where they reportedly blamed party chief Raj Thackeray for his certain decisions and questioned him regarding the mess in the party due to haphazard decisions. However, the letter sent out to party office bearers has called the news an 'ill-intentioned and a blatant lie'.
