A decision in this respect was taken in a review meeting of representatives of all NGOs working in field of education with senior department officers in Dehradun on Saturday.

The Director General (DG) education, Captain Alok Shekhar Tiwari said that a Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) by merger of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) is being operated in state now. He said new contract with NGOs would be done by the department for the new SSA. Tiwari said that fresh MOUs with these companies would be done only after review of their performance and eagerness to work in mountainous areas.
