The controversy regarding the land issue of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) president Bhupesh Baghel seems to be raked up again. Baghel had alleged that administrative officials with blessings of political bosses are indulging in vendetta against him.

Addressing a press conference over the issue, Bhagel said that ruling party has been indulging in eliminating him politically using a civil case which has already been in his favour. The revenue officials including district collector without proper verification of records are passing orders. The land in possession with him has now been ordered to be handed over to school committee. The civil court has given the decree in 1997 but even as part of a conspiracy, the officials are stating that there is no such records while he had obtained the certified copy of the order recently, which he displayed during the press meet.

He said two former Congress leaders are behind the scene who are being backed by the ruling party and its leaders. Senior Congress leader Satyanarayan Sharma said that after the civil court has given the decision, then revenue court does not have any jurisdiction, then who such an action is being taken.

Baghel said that the matter would be raised in the state Assembly. He said that legal advice has been sought to adopt the legal course against the decision.

Claiming threat to his life, he alleged that earlier the Jheeram incident occurred just before the election and now such a step is being taken. He pointed out that a sharp shooter was arrested from his area but the police has not taken any steps.

Baghel further said that conspiracy and forgery case would be filed against the officials and said that if Congress government comes to power, stern action would be taken against all the corrupt officials, trying to appease the ruling government.
