Cancer care: SOA signs MoU with Rotary

The Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital of the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University here on Friday signed an MoU with the Rotary Cancer Referral Centre to provide screening, care and affordable treatment to people belonging to the poor and disadvantaged sections.

As per the MoU, the Sum Hospital would provide doctors and paramedical staffs for conducting cancer screening camps in different parts of Odisha and for conducting regular checkups at the Rotary Cancer Referral Centre here.

Besides, treatment would be provided to the patients referred by the Rotary Cancer Referral Centre at an affordable cost as per Central Government prices.

Prominent Rotarian and former Police Commissioner of Mumbai Arup Patnaik, who was present, hailed the MoU as a unique development, saying it would extend a great help to the suffering people.
