In Jammu & Kashmir, weather has improved. AIR Srinagar correspondent reports that as the rain has stopped, the Amarnath yatra that had been halted due to incessant rainfall and damage to the tracks, has resumed from both Baltal and Pahalgam routes.
About 18,000 pilgrims including women devotees proceeded towards holy cave whileas thousands had darshan of Shiv Lingam today.
The water level in River Jhelum has receded well below danger mark in south Kashmir though the river is still flowing above half a feet above danger mark in Srinagar.
Governor N N Vohra in a divisional level meeting at State Flood Control Room in Srinagar, reviewed flood preparedness of all the wings of Divisional Administration to meet any eventuality.
Divisional administration will continue the ongoing flood control drill for next 3 months.
