‘Tourism on Wheels’ flagged off in Raipur

The two-day, June 30 to July 1, Raipur-Dhamtari-Gangrel, route of around 90 kilometres bicycle riding ‘Tourism on Wheels’ organised by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) and Tour De Raipur, Bicycle Club was flagged off at around 6.00 am at Marine Drive, Telibandha Raipur.

Chhattisgarh Tourism Board vice chairman Kedar Nath Gupta, MD M T Nandi, General Manager Dr Sanjay Singh and other officers and employees were present in the flagging off ceremony. Around 40 riders are participating in the event.

The main aim of the event is to encourage the youth of state to participate in Adventure Tourism and promote bicycle tourism among the youth and others along with conservation of natural resources. It would also help to promote the use of bicycles.

CTB had earlier organised similar events like ‘Tour-De-Raipur’, Tour-De-Chhattisgarh, and ‘Tour-de-Sarodhadadar’. It was the fourth bicycle riding programme.
