NOIDA: Nearly 50,000
flats are ready to be
delivered to homebuyers in the next three
months, officials of Noida, Greater Noida and
Yamuna expressway authorities said in a statement on Saturday. The completion certificates for these flats have already been issued and a formal announcement would be made in a meeting of
chief minister Yogi Adityanath next week, they said.
In September last year, the chief minister had directed officials to ensure the delivery of the 50,000 houses in Noida and Greater Noida within a few months. CEO, Noida Authority, Alok Tandon said a meeting was held on Saturday to review the preparations for the CM’s visit. “We received intimation that the chief minister will visit Noida in the first week of July. He may give the keys to a group of homebuyers on the occasion,” he said.
Tandon said the Noida Authority has given completion certificates to nearly 16,000 flats, Greater Noida to 28,000, and the Yamuna Authority to 6,000 flats. “There are nearly 25 developers whose projects have completed and its certificates delivered. A group of developers also participated in the meeting and they were told about the CM’s programme. The Authority has also appointed nodal officers with each developer for coordination,” he said.
CEO, Greater Noida, Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma said completion certificates have been delivered in most projects.
In August last year, the state government had formed a committee comprising industries minister Satish Mahana, urban housing minister Suresh Khanna and minister of state (independent charge) of cane development and sugar mills Suresh Rana for delivery of homes. Later, the government formed a six-member committee headed by secretary, ministry of housing and urban development, to look into the matter.
