‘It will allow studies in advanced areas’

Sankhya Technologies Private Limited, a city-based IT firm at Rushikonda IT Park, on Thursday announced the launch of ‘Research Orbit’ for the benefit of researchers in different fields.

“Many of the frontier research areas are increasingly becoming complex and are in the need of expensive prototyping platforms, beyond the reach of the researchers. Research scholars, therefore, encounter great difficulties and they can now make use of our Research Orbit to access the platforms,” Firm’s chief technology officer Gopi Bulusu and vice-president Murali Bulusu told the media here.

Interested researchers can obtain the details by contacting the company at research@sankhya.com, along with a letter of sponsorship from their respective organisations, they said.

The company officials said their platforms allow a straight through design flow from systems specification, software and hardware prototyping to system realisation. They enable research in advanced areas such as automotive safety, automated verification, fuel and energy efficiency, and autonomous vehicles.

Artificial intelligence

“Researchers on ‘smart city’ and artificial intelligence can also make use of the facility,” they said, adding social media monitoring and fake news detection would also be possible.

Since its formation in 1996, they said, the company has received five US patents and several patents are pending, they said. The company has bagged the Lockheed Martin India Innovation Award a decade ago.
