Senior citizen’s congregation on International Yoga Day gets into Limca Book of Records

Pune: Huge gathering of senior citizens in Pune on the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21, wherein those who assembled performed yogasanas simultaneously, has been recognized by Limca Book of Records.

It was one of the largest congregation of senior citizens from Pune to commemorate the spirit of Yoga. This assembly of senior citizens was termed ‘Rejuvenate By Seniority’ saw more than 300 senior citizens who attempted to create a record for the Limca Book of Records.

The event, organised by Seniority, a RPG company catering to senior citizens products, at the Jogger’s Park in Kalyani Nagar has now been recognized by the Limca Book of Record. The record will find mention in the next edition of the book. Also participating in the gathering was Jagdish Mulik, MLA from Vadgaonsheri and renowned Indian film, television and theater actor Mohan Joshi.

Seniority, which has over 1 lakh customers, organised the event to inculcate the habit of healthy living amongst the senior members of the society.

“Seniority was founded on the principles of providing comfort and convenience to the elderly and their caregivers. Rejuvenate is not just a yoga session but our way of making a statement that seniors of today are as fit and healthy as ever,” said Ayush Agarwal, Co-founder, Seniority.
