SP Palamu carried down the naxal killed in the evening of June 27, DIG Saket K Singh kept a watch if there came any injured by air at Chiyanki air strip of Daltonganj from the encounter site, while DIG Palamu Vipul Shukla oversaw things at Madgari. Mahatha told the Pioneer “All of us who were on job did either admin work or Ops work visible or invisible”.

A senior police officer said that M Arshi was in Garhwa as SP. He was too familiar with the contours of the Burha Pahar, knew the routes of the place and above all knew the mood of the locals there of Burha Pahar and hence he was sent to bring back two SPs P Anand of Latehar and Shivani Tiwary of Garhwa and also to ensure dispatch of the dead and the injured for Ranchi by air.

Arshi said on being contacted that they were comfortable with the routes and knew how to take out men injured, dead and officers and the job was carried out with meticulous precision. The Maoists just rubbed their hands in despair not finding anyone the move out from here and when the elite CoBRA came again the Maoists were down with one man and one INsas rifle.
