Delhi breathes cleanest air in almost a year as monsoon arrives |
For the first time in nearly a year, Delhiites breathed the cleanest air this week, after the monsoon winds washed away the dust bringing the air quality to the satisfactory level.
According the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the Air Quality Index (AQI) value for the capital was 83 today, which is considered satisfactory.
The CPCB said the last time Delhiites breathed such clean air was in August last year.
There was a dip in the air quality level earlier this month due to dust storms in western India that pushed the air quality level to "severe ".
