Inner peace stressed at Yoga Sansad in London

| | Haridwar | in Dehradun

Yoga Sansad with participation of hundreds of Yoga enthusiasts, Yoga lovers and Yogacharyas from Europe was  held in London. The Yoga gurus from Haridwar and Rishikesh chaired the congregation. The yoga gurus administered oath to the people to keep the rivers flowing in their respective countries clean. They also invited the participants for the forthcoming Kumbh Mela in Allahabad.

In his keynote address in the Yog Sansad, Swami Chidanand Saraswati of Parmarth Niketan said, “People wear gold chain but are unable to attain the main chain –peace of mind -which was of utmost importance. We set out for material things but it upsets our life. We must fill our lives with God and peace which is the only worthy thing in life.” He said one must try to fill the inner void of life instead of going all-out for outer fulfilment. “It is a pity that the whole of our life is spent in hoarding rather than distributing the gains,” he added.

The yoga guru Swami Ramdev said that yoga was nothing but exercising control over the mind waves. “A perfectly controlled mind is the key to a healthy body,” he said.

Sadhwi Bhagawati, international secretary of GIWA  and Mohinder Singh from Gurunanak Nishkam Sewa Jatha Buckingham were among others present at the yoga congregation.
