'We Are Speechless': Capital Gazette Opinion Page Left Blank After Deadly Shooting

This is the defiant stance from a newspaper in mourning.

The Capital Gazette dutifully putting out its morning paper despite the shooting death of five of its employees.????Hours after suspected gunman Jarrod Ramos stormed the paper’s office with a shotgun and went on a bloody rampage, the paper tweeted “Yes, we’re putting out a damn paper tomorrow.”????Reporters from various publications offering to help pick up the slack...????Then just after midnight, the paper releasing its cover, showing the faces of those five lives lost.????It’s opinions section, intentionally left blank, save for this message. “Today we are speechless.” You can see the names of the victims there. “Tomorrow this page will return to its steady purpose of offering our readers informed opinion about the world around them, that they might be better citizens.”
