A 20-year-old woman was killed allegedly by her parents for falling in love with her neighbour in Tewda village which comes under the jurisdiction of Kakroli police station, police said today.

MUZAFFARNAGAR: In a suspected case of honour killing, a 20-year-old woman was killed allegedly by her parents for falling in love with her neighbour in Tewda village which comes under the jurisdiction of Kakroli police station, police said today.

The matter came to light when the body of the woman was recovered, SP (Rural) Ajay Sehdev told PTI here.

The woman was allegedly strangulated to death by her parents on May 5, he said, adding that they were taken into custody for questioning.

A probe in the matter is underway, he added.
