Double the action at Canberra Stadium as Vets face the Old Salts

The ACT Veterans will play the Royal Australian Navy "Old Salts" in a curtain raiser to the Brumbies v Hurricanes Super Rugby game at Canberra Stadium on Saturday night.

The teams will play for the Paladin Risk Cup, with the game to start at 6.05pm.

The two sides feature players over the age of 35 only and the annual fixture provides a great opportunity for them to continue their relationship and friendly rivalry.

The match will raise money for Canberra Legacy and the Canberra Hospital Foundation, with Paladin Risk Management Services ($2,500) and the Royal Australian Navy rugby union ($500) contributing

Both foundations will be receiving a cheque for $1,500 at the end of the match. The game will be in memory of the ACT Veterans' team mate, Ian Wells who died two years ago but was still playing at the age of 81.
