Jagapathi Babu on board for Suriya's 'NGK'

As reported earlier by City Express, actor Jagapathi Babu has been signed on to play a pivotal role in actor Suriya’s upcoming revenge drama NGK.

As reported earlier by City Express, actor Jagapathi Babu has been signed on to play a pivotal role in actor Suriya’s upcoming revenge drama NGK.

The 56-year-old actor, who has essayed a variety of roles since Legend, will play one of the antagonists of the film being directed by Selvaraghavan. “Jagapathi Babu will be sporting a new look in a powerful role.

He has signed on the dotted line and has given his call sheet for 10 days. He will join the sets in a new schedule in late July or early August in Chennai,” says a source. The film marks Babu’s first collaboration with Suriya. Also starring Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi, the film’s shooting is currently underway in a rs 3 crore village set in Chennai.

Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, NGK is all about a young revolutionary leader who wants to bring about a change in the society by fighting against corruption. The makers are planning to release the film for Diwali.
