Prime Minister Modi talks with Meera Bandhe

ABhanpur block based village Kendri resident Meera Bandhe interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video-conferencing on Wednesday.

During the interaction, Meera said, “I  lost my husband Janaklal Bandhe, working with a private engineering college as lab assistant. He had massive heart attack which had pushed the family to brim of economical crises. It was then the Rs 2 lakh insurance scheme under Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti scheme was received by the family. It came as a great assistance.”

She further said that while working as a house-wife and agricultural labourer has been maintaining the family and the whole amount received have been kept in bank for the education of children and future requirement. She said that the scheme has given a support to a dependent woman.

She further said that she got information regarding the insurance scheme through ‘Bank Mitra’ of village. Her husband had deposited the premium of Rs 330 for the insurance scheme at Dena Bank. She had also received the LIC insured amount within 2-3 months of death of her husband.

Prime Minister sought details of her family conditions and her children. Consoling her, he said that crises and problems can arrive at life of anyone that also anytime. He advised her to provide the best education to her children along with care.

Prime Minister during morning hours had through district information centres had interacted with the beneficiaries of insurance schemes, social security schemes and Atal Pension scheme. He advised the beneficiaries to take right steps to face any crises in life so that one can face the life without fear and overcome all issues. Such schemes have been providing backup support to the families in distress due to various reasons. He urged that citizens of country should derive maximum benefit from the scheme.

Under the Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti scheme at premium of Rs 330, Rs 2 lakh insurance is provided.

In case of death the family members is given Rs 2 lakh insurance amount while Prime Minister Social security scheme, in just Rs 12 annual premium also provides coverage of Rs 2 lakh.

In case of accident the amount is Rs 4 lakh while in case of physical inability, then Rs 2 lakh is given.
