Officers told to keep check on wastage of water

With a view to ensure effective management of water that flows during the drinking water supply, drainage of dirty water and prevent water pollution, the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, has approved a proposal to fix the responsibility of Chief Engineer in Municipal Corporation, Executive Engineer in Municipal Council, and Secretary in Municipality as that of the Head of Department. Urban and Local Bodies Minister, Kavita Jain  said that these officers have been directed to keep a check on wastage of water and to discharge their duties with complete dedication to ensure proper drainage of dirty water. She also urged the people to cooperate with administration in water conservation and make it a daily habit to save water.
