The Congress members of the State Assembly on Wednesday conducted a mock assembly in the premises of the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.

Notably, the Congress members had submitted a no-confidence notice to the State assembly speaker Sitasharan Sharma. However, no discussion was allowed even on the acceptance of the notice and the House was adjourned sine die.

The BJP members and the ministers claimed that there was nothing new in the notice, as all the points mentioned in the notice have already been discussed in the House. The Congress termed the mock assembly as ‘Truth in the court of public’. Senior member of the party Yadvendra Singh acted as speaker, while Ajay Singh was present as Leader of the Opposition.

While commencing the discussion on the no-confidence motion, Mukesh Nayak said that the no-confidence notice is a charge-sheet against the State government that has murdered democracy. With a fear of discussion on this, the parliamentary minister made unparliamentary statement in the State assembly on June 26, which would be registered in the history as a black day. “If the e-tendering scam is investigated by CBI, the fact would come to fore and the dark face of the BJP smeared with corruption would be exposed,” he added. Congress member Jaivardhan Singh told that the past five years of the BJP government were full of corruption and scams. The e-tendering scam has come out as a new chapter in the history of corruption, he said, adding that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who boasts of zero tolerance on corruption, transferred the IAS officer who had exposed the e-tendering scam.

Another member Neelesh Awasthi said that the situation in the State is not good.

There is no doctor in the hospitals. For every small work, one needs to bribe the government employees. The farmers are harassed with the working of patwaris. Now, this mis-governance is the identity of the BJP, he added.
