THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The
district recorded 12.33% in
plan implementation in the first three months, the officials assessed in the first review meeting convened by
LSG minister K T Jaleel here on Thursday. 2374 projects out of 19,256 schemes in production, service and background sectors are in implementation stage.
73 gram panchayats in the district are implementing 13550 projects for 2018-19. Of these projects 1662 schemes have started in various panchayats.The rate of plan implementation is 12.27%. In eleven block panchayats, 131 out of 1055 projects have begun recording a plan implementation percentage of 12.42. As for municipalities, 118 out of 1158 projects have begun and the plan percentage is 10.19. The city corporation has started implementing 257 out of 2363 projects and the percentage is 10.88.
Tenders have been finalised for 3383 schemes out of 4770 projects in the district.Tenders for 1387 projects have been awarded. In Gram panchayats, 81.84% schemes have gone through vetting and technical sanction procedure. Technical sanction and vetting have been completed for 237 projects in block panchayats, 245 schemes in district panchayat,392 schemes in corporation, 349 schemes in municipalities. 71.67% schemes have been tendered.
