Volkswagen's ID R recently smashed the existing record held at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb event. We take a look at how the monster EV achieved the amazing feat.
Romain Dumas was the driver behind the wheel when he piloted the car to 7min57.418 and beat the overall record set by Sebastien Loeb in 2013.
The electric record for the track was also broken in the process in what was a momentous day for Volkswagen Motorsport.
