DGP O P Singh on Tuesday visited the summer camp being held for children in Surajpur and asked the children about their experiences in the three-day-long camp.
The participants said it was an enriching experience for them and their misconception about police being unfriendly was removed. The children also said that they came to know that the police are the first respondents in most emergency cases. The children also shared their experiences of learning traffic rules, self defence, horse riding, etc. The DGP said UP police would organise similar
camps in
winter to engage with more children.
The DGP later held a separate meeting with police officers and STF teams and directed them to improve law and order situation. He also directed them to establish better coordination in checking crimes in the city. The UP police chief also directed the police to investigate the cases which have been lying pending for months.
