Watch the 2019 Mercedes-AMG A35 Squeal its Tires at the Track

The 2019 Mercedes-AMG A35 has been filmed squealing its tires at the Nurburgring in Germany.

Mercedes is planning on expanding its lineup of compact AMG models, with plans to introduce both an A35 AMG and a more powerful A45 AMG. While the model seen testing here is based on the A-Class hatchback, the United States will receive an A35 based on the A-Class sedan.

Under the hood of the A35 will be a 300 hp version of  M270 2.0-liter turbo found in the A-Class. It will likely be paired with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. We’re expecting the same setup to appear in the A45 AMG, but with a 400 hp version of the 2.0-liter instead.

Like all AMG models, the A35 will also get sporty exterior revisions such as AMG front and rear fascias, AMG wheels and quad-tip exhaust. Expect sport AMG seats, an AMG flat-bottom steering wheel and other performance-focused interior content as well.

Check out the video above to hear the A35 AMG squeal its tires as it takes on the daunting Nurburgring Nordschleife. The video also lets us hear the 2.0-liter, but it’s hard to hear the four-cylinders little bark with the tires shrieking in pain through every corner.
