The Churches should not show any kind of leniency towards political parties, as it will only do harm to the society, former Supreme Court Judge Cyriac Joseph has said.
Mr Joseph was inaugurating the diamond jubilee celebrations of the Episcopal ordination of the Mar Thoma Metropolitan, Joseph Mar Thoma, at a function held at at the Alexander Mar Thoma auditorium in Thiruvalla on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Mr. Joseph, the Churches should stand for values and strive to mould a value-based society.
Mr Joseph said the believers should have complete freedom to take their own stand in the elections.
