Police car crashes during Sydney pursuit

A police car has been involved in a three-vehicle pile-up during a pursuit in Sydney's west.

Police pursued a Ford sedan after the driver failed to stop for a random breath test in the suburb of Mount Pritchard about 8pm on Tuesday.

The pursuit crossed into Bonnyrigg where the patrol car crashed into the Ford after the driver hit a Toyota.

The driver of the Toyota, a 62-year-old woman, was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The 33-year-old male Ford driver was charged with various driving offences and refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday.
