Kutch woman gives birth to quadruplets

Rajkot: In an unusual case, a woman gave birth to quadruplets through test tube method at a private nursing home in Gandhidham.
The couple — Dipak Bhanushali and Krishna Bhanushali — had been trying to conceive, but to no avail for the past decade. At last, their dream came true on Monday when Krishna gave birth to not one, but four babies. Of the babies, two are boys and two are girls. The babies weigh between 1kg and 1.25kg.

“The delivery was normal. The condition of the mother and babies is healthy. However, the babies have been kept in incubators for medical reasons at present. The case of conceiving quadruplets is a rare phenomenon occurring in one of 20 lakh deliveries,” said Dr Naresh Bhanushali at whose nursing home the delivery was conducted.
