A Ghanaian businessman Makafui Awuki is turning waste plastic into a business opportunity. He is the founder and director of Mcingtorch Creatives.
"What we do is to use plastics to pursue suitable business projects so that we can move away from the collection and dumping to a more purposeful way of dealing with plastic waste," Awuki tells BBC.

He says that plastic waste has become one of the largest resources for Ghana because it's all over the place.
"Everyday we take vehicles to people's homes and we just collect bottles for the project. We've been able to employ seven people. We are working on modelling a mobile portable toilet," says Awuki.
