BJP questions Congress on economic offences committed by Vadra & Mallya |
BJP today lashed out at Congress President Rahul Gandhi over the income tax notice to his brother-in-law and asked why he is silent on the issue.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi, party spokesperson Sambit Patra said, fugitive Vijay Mallya and Robert Vadra are now feeling the heat of the law and they are insecure. He said, Mallya and Vadra both violated the law and flourished during the previous UPA regime.
Income Tax department had issued a notice to Vadra and his company Skylight Hospitality to pay arrears worth over 25 Crore rupees for the year 2010-11. Mr. Patra said the law is now catching up with the corrupt in the country.
