The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has deployed its hybrid buses on a new route called BKC-16, connecting Metro Line One with Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). The buses will run between Western Express Highway (WEH) metro station and BKC Telephone Exchange.

The service was started on Monday and will run every 40 minutes through the day. The first bus starts from WEH metro station at 8 a.m. The last service for the day will start at 6 p.m. from BKC Telephone Exchange. It will have halts along Western Express Highway. To promote the service among its commuters, Mumbai Metro One will be making announcements about the service at stations and trains. It will also place information boards at exit points.

The buses were procured by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority and are being operated by BEST between Bandra and Kurla stations to BKC.
