BENGALURU: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle by the state government, 10 IAS officers were transferred.B M Vijay Shankar has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru Urban district. He will replace K A Dayananda, who has been transferred.

Shankar had served as Special Commissioner (Projects), Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike prior to his transfer. Other IAS officers who were transferred include M Lakshminarayana — from Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister to Addnl CS in Social Welfare Department, E V Ramana Reddy — given a concurrent charge as Principal Secretary to CM along with his charge as Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, Kapil Mohan — from Principal Secretary, Housing Department to Director General, Administrative Training Institute, Mysuru and Munish Moudgil — from Commissioner of Excise to Commissioner, Survey, Settlements and Land Records of Revenue Department.
