US envoy to the United Nations Nikki Haley reached India yesterday on a two-day visit to strengthen America's strong alliance with India. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, she said that in this day and time, there are more and more reasons for both the countries to come together.
She will address a group of business and government leaders, students, and civil society on advancing US-India relations in New Delhi today. The deliberations will focus on strengthening strategic, security, and defence cooperation as the United States and India jointly confront global challenges.
Ms Nikki R. Haley, the daughter of Sikh immigrants from Punjab, is the first Indian-American to serve in a Cabinet-level position in any US presidential administration.
