Liverpool transfer news: Is this the clue Naby Keita was destined to make Anfield switch?

The Guinea international will officially be unveiled as a Liverpool on July 1 after a pre-agreement was signed last summer.

The 23-year-old will link up with the rest of his team-mates for the start of pre-season training next week.

And Keita has displayed how delighted he is about joining the Reds on social media.

In a throwback picture uploaded on Instagram, Keita was wearing a Liverpool shirt - the club’s away strip from the 2007/08 season.

He posted a caption read: “Let’s get it started #YNWA.”

Keita is expected to take the No 8 shirt when he joins.

The jersey was vacated after Steven Gerrard left the club in the summer of 2015.

Keita could make his debut in a pre-season friendly away to Chester in front of a 4,300 sell-out crowd.

Besides Keita, Jurgen Klopp has brought in Fabinho from Monaco.

More signings are expected as Klopp seeks to monut a title challenge next season.
