KOLAR: Three men reportedly abducted and gang-raped a 25-year-old woman at a rubber plantation in Sullia on Monday. The men allegedly drove the victim to her village after the crime, following which the rape survivor filed a police complaint.

The victim who lives with her family is a beedi worker. To make ends meet, she also supplied milk to the local dairy. On Tuesday, she was on her way to the dairy, when the three accused — two auto rickshaw drivers and one coolie  — arrived in an autorickshaw and allegedly abducted her.

They then took the victim to a rubber plantation in Yenara and raped her. The identity of one of the rapists (coolie) was established on Tuesday evening, and a search is on for others.
