COIMBATORE: Burglars broke into a hardware
shop at Marakadai here and escaped with Rs 11 lakh in cash in the early hours of Wednesday.
Locals found the front door of the shop broke open and alerted the shop owner, Devaram, 55.
Devaram came to the shop and found that Rs 11 lakh, which had kept in the drawer, was missing. A CCTV camera was also missing.
Fingerprint experts and a dog squad inspected the shop.
