Modi care a game changer, says Nadda

Union Health Minister J P Nadda has suggested that the State Governments should adopt trust mode while implementing the ambitious ‘Aayushman Bharat Yojana’ which is meant to provide comprehensive health cover to 55 crore people in the country. Terming the scheme as a game changer, he said that tertiary health care facility would be provided in the biggest ever scheme dubbed by many as ‘Modi care’.

On questions of implementation part of the scheme,  he said that his ministry has prepared a ‘reference framework’ which would help the States in implementing the mega scheme.

The Minister added that issues related with the insurance companies and developing a payment system are being sorted out.

He claimed that health department is gearing up for implementing the scheme on the ground.

Under Aayushman Bharat Yojna, comprehensive health care facility would be provided to every person who does not come under ambit of Income Tax or is not a Government employee.

A cover of Rs5 lakh per family per year would be provided under the scheme.
