Exhibition of caricatures of late Tiatr artistes at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao

As a part of the 125th Tiatr Anniversary celebrations, the celebrations committee, Tiatr Academy of Goa and Department of Art and Culture in collaboration with Ravindra Bhavan Margao is organising an exhibition of caricatures of late tiatr artistes at Ravindra Bhavan Margao.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by chairman of Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, Prashant Naik on June 29 at 4.30 p.m. at the foyer of Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. The exhibition will be kept open for public viewing on June 30 and July 1 from 10 a.m. onwards.

The caricatures have been drawn by well-known cartoonist Alexyz and the 125th Anniversary of Tiatr celebrations committee has also published a book of caricatures which will be on sale during the exhibition.

The caricatures of prominent tiatr artistes like Lucasinho Ribeiro, Joao Agostinho Fernandes, Regina Fernandes, Souza Ferrao, Kamat de Assolna, Jacint Vaz, M Boyer, Remmie Colaco, Prem Kumar, Nelson Afonso, C Alvares and others will be showcased in the exhibition. In all 104 caricatures of tiatr artistes of yesteryears will be displayed during the exhibition.
