The district administration has claimed that the works to resolve the pathetic road condition at Vyttila are progressing fast.
An official release issued here said that the filling of a pothole near Vyttila underpass using rubbles was completed by Sunday afternoon. District Collector K. Mohammed Y. Safirulla had asked the Executive Engineer of the Kerala Water Authority to immediately fill the pothole, which had developed following pipe laying.
Work on laying tiles near the triangle junction at the taxi stand located close to the road leading to Palarivattom has been completed. The concrete work on either sides will be over soon. Traffic will have to be blocked at the junction end near this point to lay tiles. Officials of the Public Works Department had informed that the work could be carried out during night hours.
Nearly 90% of works on filling potholes have been completed. The tile-laying work near the traffic signal junction at Vyttila will be carried out after the road cutting work in the region.
