Normal Road to be closed for bridge work

DeKALB – Normal Road south of Lucinda Avenue will be closed Tuesday to accommodate work on Northern Illinois University's Swen/Founders Pedestrian Bridge, DeKalb Public Works Department said.

This one-day closure will begin early morning and might run until the early evening. Rain in the forecast could push the work back to Wednesday.

Scheduled bus pick-ups and drop-offs will take place at the bus turnaround on the west side of the Holmes Student Center.

Residents are asked to plan alternate routes during the work.
